Road Tripping to New Heights with Auberge Resorts: Utah + Colorado

Roadtrip.jpeg

We are getting back in our cars and hitting the road again! In case you missed it, last week, our road trip adventure took us through New England, making stops in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine. This week we have the mountains on our mind, and we are heading to Colorado and Utah for the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation.

In Colorado, we are staying at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, and the Madeline Hotel in Telluride. In Utah, The Lodge at Blue Sky awaits! We love the way that each Auberge property highlights what is special about its location. Whether it is the history of the town or the building, the spectacular natural surroundings, or the culture - those unique aspects are carried through to the design and decor, the dining, and the experiences available to guests. Not only are you enjoying the signature luxury of the Auberge brand, but you are being fully immersed into the destination during your entire stay.

The order of this road trip can be customized depending on where you are starting out, but if you have a little extra time, we highly recommend carving out some time to explore Arches National Park in Moab, Utah. This red-rock wonderland features over 2,000 natural stone arches, in addition to hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive fins and giant balanced rocks.

Enjoy your journey and stay tuned for the 3rd and final road trip where we will be continuing west to visit the Auberge Resorts in California’s Napa Valley. In the meantime, let’s hit the road!

COLORADO + UTAH

Hotel Jerome, Aspen, Colorado

Hotel Jerome has been the social hub of Aspen since its opening in 1889 at the height of the town’s silver boom. As the only Aspen hotel to survive the silver crash, the long pre-ski-resort winters, and the Depression, the historic hotel has seen cowboys ride through the doors, 10th Mountain Division soldiers gather round over pints after training on the slopes, and Hunter S. Thompson holding court during his run for sheriff. You can’t experience Aspen without experiencing Jerome - and being a part of its storied past. In Aspen, outdoor enthusiasts enjoy over 300 days of sunshine each year. During the winter month, world-class skiing, snowshoeing and snowboarding are available on any one of the area’s four mountains. During the warmer months, visitors can opt for 120-plus miles of hiking and biking trails, fly-fishing, golf and more. Hotel Jerome is the perfect year-round home-away-from-home.
